 Before eye screening at the villages begins, patients are educated about eye disease, , precautions, treatments, and what services NSEC offers.

After an eye examination, patients may be prescribed glasses and/or medication.  Those with cataracts are referred for surgery.

Visual Acuity is recorded using an Eye Chart.    

When an eye screening is being conducted in the village, patients may travel far in order to recieve eye care.
